In recent years, the hospital won that the number of National Invention Award is 2, the number the National Science and Technology Progress Award is 2, the number of provincial and ministerial level first prize is 14, the number of the provincial science and technology progress highest award is 2. Over the past five years, undertook the number of the projects which higher than provincial and ministerial level is a total of more than 600, among them the national level projects is 189, the provincial and ministerial level project is 416, approved scientific research funds reached 163 million Yuan.

　　The hospital ranked as the 48th in the top 150 Chinese best hospitals in 2015. The invention patents quantities ranked fifth, the numbers of SCIE papers ranked 11th in the national medical institutions. In 2016 China's hospital science and technology influence ranking list, all the country only has 11 hospitals that all disciplines all enter into the top 100, our hospital is the only one in Shandong Province.

　　The hospital possess four provincial key laboratories, two international cooperation research centers of Shandong province, five engineering technology research centers in Shandong province, five health science and technology innovation alliances, two provincial clinical medical centers. Institute of clinical medicine in Shandong province has 13 professional research institutes and a basic medical research institute with a center laboratory of the domestic advanced level and SPF animal laboratory which is the largest and best within the province. The hospital invested more than 60 million Yuan to build a new science park with an area of 17000 m 2 , and in which there are clinical medicine research institute of Shandong province, central laboratory, academician workstation, library, clinical skill training center, a tissue sample library and the base of resident standardization training.
